This was a simple logo for a client that imports cars for resale. The needs were minimal and extended to only a business card and web graphics of the mark, with an emphasis on it being a universal mark when and if the business expanded into other imports.
Because the client is an importer of classic cars from the 80's I drew from automobile trim graphics, stamps from parts manufacturers, and decals to establish a two-tone color scheme with incorporated strokes. This allowed for an efficient incorporation of the "C" within the "G" and omitting the inner stroke within CORP both echoes the use of stroke but also ensures an extra level of versatility for being read on multiple colors.
